This year, my solar panels have been working hard to generate clean, renewable energy for my home. On average, the system has produced 37.77 kWh of solar energy daily, for an impressive total of 11,462 kWh of solar energy generated by the sun!
I use an average of 30.92 kWh of electricity daily to meet my household’s energy needs. This means that most days, the energy produced by the solar panels is enough to cover the house’s use and charge my six-year-old electric vehicle, reducing my reliance on traditional power sources.
Occasionally, I still need to pull some energy from the grid, especially when the panels can’t produce enough (like on cloudy days). So far, I’ve imported 1,549 kWh of electricity from the grid to fill the gaps. But my system has also sent 3,121 kWh of extra energy back to the grid, meaning I’ve contributed more than I’ve taken!
Overall, the system is performing very well. It usually produces more energy than my home needs, helping reduce my energy bills and carbon footprint.
