Barbara Francisco Brown. age 70, died at home in West Palm Beach, Florida on April 28, 2016, with her husband and daughter by her side, after a yearlong battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Brown III, her daughter Kimberly (Warren) Waring Siciliano, her stepson Robert (Mavis) Brown, her brother Gary (Joan) Francisco, and three granddaughters, Elyse, Amanda, and Kaitlyn Brown.
Barbara was born in Christiansburg, Virginia, on July 5, 1945. and grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia where she graduated from Blacksburg High School. She worked for 30 years at the South Florida Water Management District in West Palm Beach, Florida, a large scientific and engineering agency, retiring in 2003. She started as an Administrative Assistant, worked as a Staff Engineering Associate, a Technician Supervisor, and a Staff Geographer Associate.
A small private, family-only, ceremony will be held followed by a larger celebration of her life, the time, and place to be announced in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to her favorite charities, The Clean Drinking Water Team, The ASPCA, and the Peggy Adams Foundation. Their work supports her love of people and of animals.
She is remembered by her family, many friends, and co-workers as a kind, gentle, and loving person with an ever-present, sweet smile.
